SSS Availment

Kudos to SSS Brunei Darussalam!

To succeed as an OFW, one must be wise in spending the money.
Good that SSS is here in Brunei.
I gave birth to my youngest last July 2009 here in Brunei and never expected that the cheque will arrive very soon ! That's two weeks after filing the maternity notification and claim.

Thanks for the assistance of Marivic Rutor. Your service is highly appreciated.

More Power!

St. John’s School once again has been flooded with science enthusiasts as more than 50 new members of Science club registered this year. They were mixed secondary and primary students whose interest falls in learning the practical ways of Science and Technology. Another excitement and thrilling year is ahead of the Science Club. Various activities have been plotted in the planning table, amongst them are, educational trip to industries that produce saleable products and visit to some areas where resources of energy could be found. The club is effectively run by two Science teachers namely, Mrs. Shiela Tan and Ms. Mysti Castillo under the supervision of Mr. Rodman Tan, the Head of the Science Department.

ScieWorld

Come and be thrilled as we journey together in the World of Science!
When I started to take a nap,
Somebody whispered,
Somebody called me,
And somebody took me into another dimension…

What are these?
Test tubes, microscopes, magnets…
Lab equipment and gadgets!
Where am I?

Hey, Mr. Faraday, the Father of modern Electrical Sciences,
Who made electricity out of magnetism?
Where our modern electrified world gets tremendous amount of energy,
That’s it!
A widespread practical value as those of Faraday!

Eintein, how are you? The Physics Philosopher,
Did you miss some Physics’ principles?
The Field of gravitation, speed of light and Brownian motion?
Because of you why E=mc2 came to ScieWorld!

Oops, the Father of Modern Science is approaching me,
Aristotle, a Macedonian, the student of Plato,
Your essay named Organon enormously contributes
To the scientific testing called Logic,
I admire you for your absolute authority in every field of thought.

Mendell, is it you?
The proponent of Genetic Evolution,
The observer of ordinary pieces of peas
Do they exhibit mutation?
Ah, thanks Gregor for enlightening us
The beauty of normal existence…

Madam Curie!
The woman who discovered radium and polonium,
Which she detected from the substance called ore,
That is more radioactive than Uranium she said,
Oh, Madam what a keen observer are you!

Aah…I’m hungry..I forgot to bring my apple and celery
But suddenly….
Apple? Little boy, wanna taste my apple?
Oh, I’m surprised Sir Isaac Newton
The proponent of the Law of gravitation, differential calculus
And valuable theories of light and colour
That’s you and your momentous discoveries!

What an invention that leads to human satisfaction
Flattering..unbelievable…possible!
Oh I wish I could stay here for more
Mingling with the Scientist as they discover some more…..Hey wake up!

Battle of the Science Whiz Year 3

Hats off to Secondary Students!

St. John's Science Whiz made it again...Well Done!
